We met Thomas with his canoe the night before when we noticed him sailing in the dark on a lake where we were timelapsing. The day after he was parked next to us and we asked him if we could shoot him once more. We drove to a more remote location and took every light we had with us to try and light up the forest around the gorge.
He had built his own lights to put those in the water and make it look transparent.
Shot at Walchenklamm, Germany when it was raining in the middle of the night. My best friend that was helping with the lights even fell in the water. It was only two degrees outside so I gave him my vest, we experimented a lot and this is the result. Good times.

This photograph is taken at the Padma river, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. It was winter morning. All the tables are part of party which takes place in the evening and people come and enjoy this beautiful place. But in the morning when its too cold, no one comes here and the places looks abandoned and stands in a deep silence.

What does it take to be deemed beautiful? Is it the never-ending list of stereotypically perfect features, or the rigorous effort to hide under thick layers of powder and paint? Does the trick really lie in society’s perspective of how a human being should look? No. Happiness does not linger in other people’s acceptance of one’s appearance. Did a pointed nose or fair skin ever give another person a reason to smile or shower them with love? It is the light that lies underneath which defines a person and clings on to them throughout a lifetime.

It is a stormy day. There are 4 horses on two sites of a little creek. It seems the two horses in the foreground can't make up their mind to cross the water. One of the horses in the middleground, already on the other site of the creek has turned towards the ones in the foreground as if it wanted to say "join us". We're going to the ruin. The walls will protect us against the storm- The other horse is just looking over its shoulder and is heading towards the ruin.

This was shot after blizzard in Helsinki cathedral. Usually this place is filled with tourists all over the world but this time there was only few people and it made the whole scene look like naturally black and white.

This picture was taken in Cuba on Feb 2018.
Karina is a young girl who I had a chance to photograph in a traditional and old house in La Habana. I love the way her eyes talked without saying a word, telling me some many unknow things about her life in Cuba.

The picture was taken in Copenhagen zoo - the young giraffe came up to me and showed her neck like a in a dance, gracefull and pretty

I liked the light entering trough the window and the atmosphere surrounding the room. Also there were two dogs sleeping on the couch, so I just took the picture. It was taken on a photographer house, that also serves as photography studio, in Envigado, Colombia.

Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia-The last frontier. Never before have I seen such a vast, wild and almost untouched territory. “We must go beyond textbooks, go out into the bypaths and untrodden depths of the wilderness, travel and explore and tell the world the glories of our journey...” one of my favorite quotes that I feel does a little bit of justice to this image!

Photo was shot by drone in Kompung Chhnang at 9th September 2018 – “A man speaks to himself as the sun almost vanishes: “I can feed my hungry and cold family at home; I can look after my family properly. And I really enjoy my life even if we are poor.” Then he threw his fishing net down the Tunle Sap, situated 200 meters from his shelter. He smiles with hopes that he will catch some fish to feed his hungry kids. Interestingly, his net forms a butterfly-wing shape with a colorless rainbow pattern when he pick up the net from the water. Tunle Sap, one of the world’s most biodiverse water, is home to over 1,000 species of fish. The River is an indispensable source of food and income for millions of people living along the Tunle Sap.
