We met Thomas with his canoe the night before when we noticed him sailing in the dark on a lake where we were timelapsing. The day after he was parked next to us and we asked him if we could shoot him once more. We drove to a more remote location and took every light we had with us to try and light up the forest around the gorge.
He had built his own lights to put those in the water and make it look transparent.
Shot at Walchenklamm, Germany when it was raining in the middle of the night. My best friend that was helping with the lights even fell in the water. It was only two degrees outside so I gave him my vest, we experimented a lot and this is the result. Good times.

This photograph is taken at the Padma river, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. It was winter morning. All the tables are part of party which takes place in the evening and people come and enjoy this beautiful place. But in the morning when its too cold, no one comes here and the places looks abandoned and stands in a deep silence.

What does it take to be deemed beautiful? Is it the never-ending list of stereotypically perfect features, or the rigorous effort to hide under thick layers of powder and paint? Does the trick really lie in society’s perspective of how a human being should look? No. Happiness does not linger in other people’s acceptance of one’s appearance. Did a pointed nose or fair skin ever give another person a reason to smile or shower them with love? It is the light that lies underneath which defines a person and clings on to them throughout a lifetime.

It is a stormy day. There are 4 horses on two sites of a little creek. It seems the two horses in the foreground can't make up their mind to cross the water. One of the horses in the middleground, already on the other site of the creek has turned towards the ones in the foreground as if it wanted to say "join us". We're going to the ruin. The walls will protect us against the storm- The other horse is just looking over its shoulder and is heading towards the ruin.

Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia-The last frontier. Never before have I seen such a vast, wild and almost untouched territory. “We must go beyond textbooks, go out into the bypaths and untrodden depths of the wilderness, travel and explore and tell the world the glories of our journey...” one of my favorite quotes that I feel does a little bit of justice to this image!

Photo was shot by drone in Kompung Chhnang at 9th September 2018 – “A man speaks to himself as the sun almost vanishes: “I can feed my hungry and cold family at home; I can look after my family properly. And I really enjoy my life even if we are poor.” Then he threw his fishing net down the Tunle Sap, situated 200 meters from his shelter. He smiles with hopes that he will catch some fish to feed his hungry kids. Interestingly, his net forms a butterfly-wing shape with a colorless rainbow pattern when he pick up the net from the water. Tunle Sap, one of the world’s most biodiverse water, is home to over 1,000 species of fish. The River is an indispensable source of food and income for millions of people living along the Tunle Sap.

This picture was taken during Guatemala's custom during Catholic's main festivity, The Holy Week. I took this photo as I was drawn to how the rays of light illuminate the bubbles as they race to the surface. I also wanted to convey the contrast of the diver in the vast expanse of ocean. The shot was taken on a shore diving excursion off the north coast of Grand Cayman in September 2018. It was taken with a GoPro Hero 5.

Our hair is deeply connected with our identity. For centuries, hair has had complicated connotations with our inner selves, politics, religion, and social liberation. So what happens to our notions of ‘self’ when hair is not a factor?
‘Rubber Identity’ is a series of portraits where the model’s hair is hidden by vintage rubber swimming caps. The models are unnervingly visibly uncomfortable with the caps, when they are no longer able to affect their own character with their hair.
While they are seated in classic portraiture postures, the models feel particularly vulnerable, exposed, and intimate. You get the sense that we are seeing them for exactly who they are. Perhaps even for the first time.

This image was made in an open playground in the Philippines. The geometry of the windows, air-conditioners , the perfect placement of the garbage bin and the contrast of the paint of the two buildings grabbed my immediate attention. The background had a lot of potential but was missing a subject. Then this playful kid happily galloped in the open grass and I was able to capture this photograph.

This portrait is a part of series for a hairdresser team from Slovenia. Every year we create a body of work for their campaign where they illustrate the amazing colors and shapes they have created with their creative team. This year we decided to bring back the renaissance period. When I studied that period for the shoot I was amazed by the strong expressions and emotions shown on their faces. My hometown is strongly connected with that period so it was great to work on a project like that.

Shot 2018 as part of the smstudiostudio 2018 campaign. The outdoor shoot was taken in Rockville, Tsakane, in the far eastrand of Johannesburg and uses natural lighting.

Whether you are physically male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy - all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside. We should never stop following our dreams, fighting for our ideals and protecting our visions which are all symbolised by the animals captured in this series "Dreamers and Warriors.”
